Mediterrenean Digital Baroque

The Mediterranean Digital Baroque exhibit opened at the David Gill Galleries in London in October 2003. The exhibit featured creatures that sign and defend the root of creation. The house. The head. Full of fake and plastic characters. Adult games. A virgin army defended by supersonic pigs. Engulfed in a metamorphic fragile traditional ceramic forest. A vital and ironic manifesto about this artist’s personal cosmogony that is devised of mature languages from heterogeneous worlds: his birthplace, Madrid and the Francophone culture from his childhood. Skateboarding from cani suburbs and baja California. Gestuality, surrealism, baroque, density, dynamism, intuition, dementia, risk, tenderness, berreber, mathematical warrior of nature, energetic strength, delirium, histrionic exaggeration, emulation and creativity.

Camper Together With Jaime Hayon

The intention of the Together project was to give an absolute, yet subtle change to the way the Camper space is envisioned. To promote a luxury ambient inside the shop, turning it into a symbol of elegance. Very special pieces were created for this shop: handmade wood tables with different and abundant legs, very much within the Hayon style. A set of hand crafted terra-cotta lamps was designed specially for the space. A new technology was developed to give these lamps an earthy yet sophisticated surface. For the cash point space, an unusual piece of furniture with a very “Olympic” shape, was created, all in red. Red floor in resin of a silky and glossy effect was chosen, playfully contrasting with the rest of the space.

Camper Shop Tokyo

Inspired by classic circus elements, this new project for Camper has colour and fantasy. The space is full of life and light, inviting people to dream. As soon as we step through the organic door, with a handle shaped like a candy cane, we begin to discover the surprises inside. There are no corners, only curved forms. There is an interesting contrast between the walls covered in Bisazza mosaic tiles, perfect and delicate, and the cement floor, basic and unfinished. The long, narrow center table resembles a centipede. The coloured mirrors placed on the ceiling elongate perspective and give the store added warmth. These small touches of quality do not go unnoticed. The special areas are separated by beveled glass panels reminiscent of cut gemstones. Colour filters create a magical transparency. The shop is fresh and elegant.

La Terraza Del Casino

An interior project by Jaime Hayon that explores the balance of an aesthetic link between past and future, using his very personal style that connects harmoniously with the imaginative and innovative kitchen of the outstanding chef: Paco Roncero. The project presents new furniture elements created by Hayon in consonance with the restaurant’s needs as well as different hand crafted details, always on the lookout for that special something that blends art and design.

Faberge Salon

The interior of the Faberge boutique presents an innovative approach to the high Jewellery experience, with its expression of modern luxury through simplicity and sensuality. The concept and design focuses on superlative craftsmanship, sensually minimal shapes and forms, and exquisite materials, including silk wall drapes, rare woods and Carrara marble. The materials used give the boutique an organic and dynamic feel, balanced by a serenity that comes from the tonality of neutral, silvered metallic shades. Luminosity floods the boutique form the central theme of Hayons interior design. Simple open spaces are bathed in the reflections of mirrors and light from the exterior drifts through the tinted glass of cut-out gem-shaped panels in tall interconnecting doors.
