The Gates Garden, situated on the top floor of The Hyundai Daegu, is an expansive outdoor garden that forms part of The Forum by Jaime Hayon, a cultural plaza spanning approximately 4,565m². This captivating space is defined by a series of unique gates, each crafted from seven distinct and humorous statues by Jaime Hayon. The garden’s artistic elements are complemented by a rich botanical collection of 34 different trees and flowers.

The sculptural Gates Garden, with its enormous, imaginary characters, is designed to enhance visitor interaction. A winding path invites guests to explore the park, allowing them to view the sculptures from various angles. A dedicated staircase climb provides an elevated perspective, offering a unique vantage point from above.

“The collaboration with The Hyundai Daegu has been very special. It has provided me with an opportunity to deliver artistic inspiration and vitality to people. As this project is entirely unconventional, we aimed to make something new, a real challenge for us as artists and designers and for the brand. We love to go somewhere where we are discovering together. I wanted to give the experience of travelling to a new planet as people move through this space made of different rich areas. We were given full creative freedom to really create something unique that has never been seen before and to achieve this, we used all our interior design expertise, joined with artistic knowledge, to create a space of awe and enjoyment.”
