Tribu (2023)
The new TRIBU masks designed by Hayon for Bosa, with their refined colours and fantasy shapes take us back to ancient traditions and cultures and reveal the folklore and surreal inspiration of the collection.
The suggestive stylized traits of TRIBU masks reproduce the immaginative appearances of a far and dreamlike world that tap into the recognizable iconography of the Spanish designer. With some references to the máscaras of Mexican wrestling, pre-Columbian sculptures, African masks, Japanese animes andChinese figurines, the mask bacame over the years a key image of Hayon world, trace of a direct connection with an ancient and remote civilization.
Thanks to the skillful artisanal tradition of Bosa, TRIBU masks, finely produced with ceramic and decorated with glossy glazes and precious metals, transform into special wall-mounted sculptures capable of taking us to far and imaginative places.
