UNO Mercado Central

UNO, a stand at Valencia’s Mercado Central, offers ready-to-eat local products. Designed by Valencian artist Jaime Hayon, the 6-square-meter space recreates his unique universe. Hayon’s vision of vendor-client closeness is depicted through a geometric grid, playfully broken by “very green” dancing characters.

The design, executed with hand-painted white tiles, blends tradition with innovation, creating a stylish and welcoming spot that highlights the richness of local products and the vibrant spirit of the market. Its prime location at the main entrance makes it a standout celebration of local culture and cuisine, inviting visitors to savor the best of Valencia in a refreshing, contemporary way.
