Jaime Hayon The exhibition at Villa Noailles will aim to offer a comprehensive vision of Jaime Hayon’s creative universe and his ability to fuse art, craftsmanship, and design, his audacity in the use of materials and forms, and his profound connection with tradition, which make him a key figure in the current cultural dialogue.
Divided into two rooms, the exhibition will explore inspiration, research, and execution, rooted in the idea of “extreme craft.”
The first room will recreate the intimate atmosphere of Jaime’s studio, revealing the sources of his inspiration. It will showcase the constant dialogue between tradition and innovation that characterizes his work. Objects, sculptures, paintings, and materials will be exhibited, reflecting Hayon’s diverse influences, from ancient techniques to folkloric themes from various cultures.
The second room will celebrate Jaime Hayon’s career, presenting a selection of emblematic works from the last 25 years. It will show the evolution of his distinctive style and his innovative approach, which defies the boundaries between art, craftsmanship, and design. A wide range of objects will be presented, from sculptural ceramics to wooden furniture, glass lamps, and bronze sculptures, demonstrating the way in which Jaime Hayon explores diverse materials and concepts, making palpable Hayon’s profound respect for tradition and international art, and how he reinterprets them through his contemporary lens. In parallel, the role of drawing as a tool for creation, expressiveness, and research will be shown.

Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles, who commissioned Robert Mallet-Stevens to build their villa overlooking Hyères, would doubtless be thrilled with the goings-on in this gem of modernist architecture that they made into a hotspot for the artistic avant-garde during their lifetimes. Since it was transformed into a centre for art and architecture in 1996, the Villa Noailles has earned an international reputation thanks to its programme dedicated to architecture, design, fashion and photography.
