Inspired by the moment Hayon discovered a handful of old Spanish post cards, Montera pays homage to the heritage of Spain. Displaying a clear correlation with the traditional flair and pageantry of the country, both Montera’s name and silhouette derive from the bullfighting hat of the iconic Matador, showcasing a seamless integration of cultural significance into modern design.
Montera by Jaime Hayon is available in two colour variants, Forest and Sky and Amber and Ruby. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted with an aluminium base and shade, a black textile cord, and a polished brass dimmer with a clear lacquer finish. The shade is available as a spare part if repair is needed, and all components can be disassembled and responsibly recycled at the end of life.
