Palette
Inspired by the kinetic sculptures of Alexander Calder, Palette Table is Jaime Hayon’s exploration of equilibrium through shape, material, and motion. This series of multi-tiered lounge tables brings together marble, steel, and stained ash veneer in a poetic choreography of contrasts. Like a suspended mobile rendered static, each table layers different geometries—oval, circle, hexagon—at varying heights, resulting in a harmonious composition that feels both balanced and in motion. The palette-like top is not just a nod to the name, but a metaphor for Hayon’s artistic process: layered, expressive, and dynamic.
The material palette is as rich as its name suggests: honed Bianco Carrara marble, satin-polished stainless steel, and pale pink stained ash interact in tactile and tonal harmony. Each element is crafted with precision and joined by a slender steel structure that enhances the impression of floating. The Palette Table exemplifies Hayon’s unique ability to merge fine art sensibility with design functionality—turning an everyday surface into a sculptural statement that invites conversation, connection, and play.
