Piper-Heidsieck

Piper-Heidsieck requested an object that would both be utilitarian and elegant, able to capture their “Extravaganza” spirit, the word they use to describe the brand’s personality, a combination between sophistication and creativity. Jaime Hayon’s fantasy was the sort of input they wanted. The project, a mix of past and future, was the result of this collaboration. The Seau and Vasque, champagne containers, were released in late 2006.

Swarovski Sparkle Shady

This new form of chandelier is a series of lampshades and not a structure allowing many possible variations and changes. One can combine several types and sizes to accumulate a desired effect. There is a second range of options regarding the skin for each of these shades. These skins are also variable and their color can be chosen and eventually changed. This allows much choice both for initial color combinations as well as eventual desires to modify color choices after time. One is never limited to a single chandelier but has the option to make different chandeliers that are capable of being transformed throughout time. The flexibility and functionality of this variable piece is one of its greatest assets. Another should be the material itself. The natural beauty of the Swarovski crystals will allow an amazing game of light, even when it is not lit.

Serious Fun For Bernhardt Design

The ongoing artistic and creative collaboration between Jaime Hayon and Nienke Klunder has been the fuel behind many of Hayon’s most celebrated projects. Serious Fun is the first design collection co-created by them as equal partners. This textile collection for Berhardt Design aims to bring a fresh and exciting input to the fabric world. We started to create funny fresh patterns, and using colour combinations which were just a bit more daring. Colour was the key, Basta with the browns, greys, green greys, blue greys and beiges! Serious Fun is a balanced presentation of fabric designs that we would want to enjoy: good for the heart and appropriate for the mind. Collections: Bubbles, ZigZag, Romboid and Scribble

The Fantasy Collection

The creations in The Fantasy collection which Jaime Hayon has designed for Lladro, mirror the perfect fusion between the artistic quality of the Spanish porcelain brand and the playful, fantasy quality the designer brings to his works. The balance between expression and function, the studied combination of Lladro’s usual themes and the magic of the unexpected that Hayon is known for, make these pieces truly original objects that, over and above their decorative potential, awaken a sense of fantasy in the beholder.

Hayon Camper Shoes

I wanted to find a form that stylized the foot, like the tap dancing shoes. I have always liked the character of dance shoes because they remind me of a music-hall. I wanted to make a simple shoe but one that had character, in solid colours but that were special enough to give identity to a way of dressing. If for me, and also for many others, glasses are important in creating the personality of a person, I think that shoes should be so too. Hayon defines his design as a sporty shoe with a touch of elegance, or vice versa, that hides some surprises that make it all the more special, like the feel of the laces or the linen interior and that combines the most characteristic codes of his work as an artist and designer: the fusion of styles, soft and organic forms, the mix of materials and the quality of its manufacturing.

BD Barcelona Showtime Collection

Showtime Collection for BD Barcelona is a home furniture collection inspired on classical MGM musicals. The concepts behind these pieces explore the contrast between what is external and internal. A combination between organic forms and classical details is key to its development. It exhibits passion for finding ways were things that are not supposed to match, coexist in elegance. Very innovative material combinations like plastic and leather were used to create this unique collection. Act II of the Showtime Collection for BD Barcelona was launched in April 2007. The range includes large tables and coffee tables as well as the elegant new chair that comes is a series of different finishes and accessories.

Tudor Chair and Cabinet for Established & Sons

Date of release: April 2009.

The Tudor Cabinet is a continuation of the gothic and historically inspired Tudor Chair. The family of storage systems uses simple symbolic forms to emulate the theatrical architecture and opulence of the 16th Century. Iconic forms loyal to the Tudor period are evident in the shapes used within the details of the design, particularly in the glass panel and door handles. The high gloss lacquer finish, available in white, red or black speaks of royal luxury in a modern context.

The Tudor chairs take their inspiration from the six wives of Henry VIII,  each with its own identity expressed through variations of upholstery and finishing. The highly polished finishes and upholstery stitching inspired from traditional quilting help the chairs emanate fine opulence and spectacle with modern flair.
